What to Expect at Our Online SELT B2 Lessons

The Structure of the Trinity Secure English Language Test B2 Exam

Reading and Writing

---

Long Reading – a text consisting of several paragraphs is given. Students have to do various tasks.

• They should select the most suitable title for each paragraph.
• Choose the true statements from a list of sentences.
• Complete sentences by using words from the text to fill in the gaps.

Multi-text Reading – several texts are offered.

• Students must identify which of the suggested sentences refers to a particular text.
• Choose the five statements from all the texts that are true according to the given information.
• Insert the missing words from the texts into the gaps.

Reading into writing – based on the information in the multi-text assignment. You need to write about 150-180 words answering a specific question.

Extended writing – complete another essay on a different topic (150-180 words). Express your own ideas and give supporting evidence.

Speaking and Listening

• Prepare a topic form at home and be ready to discuss the points with the examiner.
• Collaborative task – be ready to discuss a given scenario.
• Conversation task – discuss the topic chosen by the examiner. Topics could include work, education, environment, personal experience, and social issues.
• Listening to recordings and answering questions.
